Our Story

1870

WHERE IT ALL BEGAN...

A long time ago in a land far far away...

(19th century Manea, Cambridgeshire to be precise!) lived our distant relative John Smith, a local farmer and butcher who opened his first store way back in 1870. Following in his father's footsteps, G.A Smith moved to Birmingham gaining an apprenticeship with Mr Lewis Butchers.

By 1885, G.A Smith had saved enough money to open his own Butchers at 88 Hospital Street, Aston.

Spring has sprung.......

Spring has sprung and Easter is nearly here. No matter whether you are spending it with family and friends or by yourself, we have something to offer here at Chase Farm Shop and Café. Buy from the shop to cook at home or eat here in the café, there will be something to suit everyone.

The cold weather is still hanging on and we have a selection of logs, coal and kindling to keep you warm until the warmer times are here.

We have an amazing selection of meat available from our butchery department to buy off the shelf or over the counter. Why not pick up some spring lamb - ask at the butchery  counter for more details.

Whether it's a portion for one or you're feeding the family; we have lots of new exciting products to showcase alongside some old favourites!

We have our new spring/summer menu starting in the cafe after Easter, with lots of old favourites and some new offerings. Keep an eye on our specials board for daily specials.

Follow us on social media to see our new products, upcoming events and offers and to even be in with a chance to win a voucher to spend in the shop!
